Vertical Fire Tube Boilers

Always our favorite boiler, the vertical fire tube boiler has many advantages; most importantly as a constant and plentiful source of steam.  Our VFT boilers are designed to have a low center of gravity and are superior to many horizontal water tube boilers in this respect.  VFT boilers are well suited to traditional narrow steamboat hulls.

A wide selection of water tube boilers, all with double rows of tubes, are available.  Not only have these boilers been well proven over the past two decades of hobby operation, but the influence of the local (Rhode Island) ALMY Boilers can be seen.
