Interesting Boats Tourboat 30 Steam "Laurie Ellen"

The "Laurie Ellen", now six years young, was the first of the USCG Certified steam launches, built specifically for carrying eighteen paying passengers.  She spent the first years of her life working Castine Bay, Maine and has now moved to Juneau, Alaska where she will continue her daily task of hauling tourists.

The top photo was taken during sea trials upon delivery to Maine.  The balance of the photos have been taken at our Boatshop  on  the  occasion  of  the  boat

being prepared for her overland trip to Alaska.
The general good condition of the boat after years of modest maintenance speaks well for the initial job performed by the Boatshop.
